A God-Given Vision To Build a Log Church in Oregon City, Oregon
Pastor Joe Wardlow is not a contractor or a handyman. Yet God told him:
“Build me a church.”
“I will show you what to do.”
“Build it (a log church) on Beavercreek Road in Oregon City.”
“When the doors open, it will be full.”
Where would the money come from for this log church that would seat 800? Joe heard God tell him:
“Send out letters to 500 corporations.”
“Go online and ask every Christian in the United States and throughout the world to help raise funds for this church building.”

Affiliation and Accountability
Trails End Log Church is an Interdenominational Church. The governing body is the current Trails End Log Church Board of Directors.
Pastor Joe shared, “There are many people who have grown up under many different Christian denominational backgrounds or no denominational background and they do not have a church home. We want them to know that they will be welcome at Trails End Log Church.”
People have asked what will happen to their donations if the goal is not reached. While the Board members and supporters, and Joe Wardlow himself, firmly believe TELC will be a success, if that should happen the TELC Board would choose another Christian non-profit organization to which it would give the donations.
Oregon City is famous as the end of the Oregon Trail. Thousands of people visit Oregon City every year with interest in the Oregon Trail.
They tour visitors centers, interpretive centers and other points of interest along the Oregon Trail – particularly at the end of the Oregon Trail.
Beginning in 1834 it was the Christian Missionaries who were the first to blaze the Oregon Trail. They were determined to spread Christianity to the west. Later the floodgates of pioneer migration began along the Oregon Trail and became known as the Great Emigration of 1843.
